Flag is Bicyclist Friendly.
One of the things I like best about the city of Flagstaff is that it is bicyclist friendly.
The new interchange at I40 and the Mall has bicycle access via cemented paths and passes that run under the busy intersection at Country Club and Rt. 89.
The bridge on Forest provides safe access to bicyclists to Buffalo park and the forest trails.
The new Fourth Street overpass is complete and very bike friendly with painted bike paths.
The annual Bike to Work Week, managed by http://flagstaffbiking.org/ was well done, and well participated.
I’m not sure if Flagstaff is as little a town as it use to be. There’s quite a bit of development these days, new roads and bridges to help traffic flow. But no doubt, the bicyclist has not been forgotten here.
